EXPERIENCE THE CLASSIC
We are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Old Hickory Classic! Twenty-five years ago, Team Biker's Choice and the Lock 4 Trailblazers wanted to grow the sport of mountain biking in the middle Tennessee area. With the help and support of the Gallatin City Government and Gallatin Parks and Recreation Department, the teams built Lock 4 Park. Intended for all skill levels, Lock 4 boasts 9 miles of fast, single-track trail with over 10 BLT routes embedded within the park. The Old Hickory Classic is designed to bring a small taste of Colorado mountain biking to Tennessee. Named after Andrew Jackson and Old Hickory Lake, the classic offers cyclists of all skill levels to compete in a world cup style mountain bike race.
Each year Biker's Choice develops new ways to grow and give back to the cycling community of Middle Tennessee. This year, we will be donating the proceeds of our event to the NICA Lock 4 Trailblazers. The Trailblazers are a composite high school mountain bike team from Sumner, Macon and Wilson county. We hope that the funds will provide the team with the ability to grow into a more competitive environment and help supplement the costs it takes to travel to competitions. If you know of a child who would like to to join the team or would like to learn more about the team please visit https://thebikerschoice.com/pages/lock4trailblazers or call David Hardin at 615-822-2512.
ALL THE FEELS
It is our hope that we can share our love and passion for mountain biking to all the attendees of the event so we can grow the mountain bike community and the sport across the south. In addition to our love for mountain biking, we love our city! Gallatin, Tennessee was recently named the, " Nicest place in America" by Reader's Digest. We have listed several places to eat, stay and visit below. During breaks in events over the weekend, make sure you check out some local places we love.
